Married At First Sight Should Establish This New Rule To Save The Show (It Involves The Experts’ Help)

Married At First Sight season 18 is just getting started, but things have already become controversial which has led viewers to wonder why the MAFS experts aren’t implementing some new rules. While Married At First Sight has been following some of the same rules throughout the run of the series, there have been amendments to the way things are handled in the past. From experts being replaced on the panel to others changing the way the speak to the participants, there have been changes made in the past in regards to how the experts behave, and what their role is.

Despite not having made many changes to the experts or their roles on Married At First Sight in the last few years, viewers have been keeping an eye on the team after a few unsuccessful seasons of the series. Within the last six seasons of Married At First Sight, only two couples have successfully chosen each other on Decision Day and moved on to stay married. With just two couples out of the last thirty couples on MAFS working out, viewers have turned to the experts to see what’s happening with the success rate. Things may need to change completely.

Married At First Sight could have some success stories to brag about.

Many MAFS Failures Have Happened On The Honeymoons

Although Married At First Sight season 18’s wedding ceremonies have spanned over the first episodes of the season, things are about to heat up as the couples head out on their honeymoon together. Though there are five separate couples, the pairs go on their honeymoon together and meet for the first time during the trip. Typically, couples struggle the most during the MAFS honeymoon phase, as the they have the most to overcome getting to know each other and accepting that they’ve actually gotten married.

MAFS viewers have taken notice that though they honeymoon is the most fragile part of the experiment itself, it’s the only time when the couples are genuinely left alone. Married At First Sight season 18’s cast will be taking their honeymoon with each other, but in terms of their MAFS tools, they’re wildly on their own throughout the trip. It’s left some wondering if the MAFS honeymoon should be treated less like a vacation, and more like a retreat where the experts are present for counseling.

The Experts Should Be At The Honeymoons

Although the Married At First Sight experts may be giving the participants their privacy, it seems like it would be smarter for them to go on the honeymoon where many of the early fractures in their marriages happen. With no ability to talk things out as they get to know one another in an intensely high-pressure situation, MAFS casts almost always come back from their honeymoon with issues to sort through. If the MAFS experts were to join the honeymoon and facilitate it as though it was a marriage retreat rather than a vacation, issues could be squared away quickly.

MAFS Fans Want To See Successful Couples

While joining the honeymoon may not be the best idea from the expert’s point of view, it could benefit the participants as they move through the early phases of marriage. Married At First Sight viewers are looking for successful relationships on the series, meaning they want to see marriages that last and couples who are willing to put in the work. If the experts were willing to put in another level of work when it comes to future casts of MAFS, things could change considerably for the show. Married At First Sight could have some success stories to brag about.
