Married At First Sight Season 18’s Villains Have Proven The Show Doesn’t Care About Creating Real Relationships
Married At First Sight season 18’s villains have made a mark this season, and are proving that the show doesn’t care about creating new relationships, but base their value on spreading serious drama. Throughout Married At First Sight season 18, the cast has been watched carefully by viewers who are looking for any reason to call them out. While some of the cast members haven’t given viewers much reason to criticize them, there has been a group of participants who haven’t been behaving well. The Married At First Sight season 18 villains have been difficult to watch throughout the season.
With the Married At First Sight season 18 cast working through their issues on screen, their marriages have become commonplace for viewers to discuss as their lives shift and change. Throughout the season, MAFS season 18’s participants have had to make sacrifices to keep their relationships moving forward, but some have shown issues working on their marriages. The connections on Married At First Sight aren’t always instantaneous but as they change and grow throughout the season, participants hope they’ll go the distance. Unfortunately, MAFS season 18 has had an influx of villains who aren’t looking for their relationships to succeed.
Michelle Tomblin Was Matched With Someone She’d Never Respect
Although Michelle Tomblin came into Married At First Sight season 18 hopeful that she’d meet someone she could connect with on a deep level, her relationship with David Trimble hasn’t been what she was looking for. Michelle, who was single for many years before MAFS, was hoping to meet someone she felt was on her level in more ways than one. Looking for someone down-to-earth and vulnerable, she was also hopeful her MAFS match would be independent and understand the way she’s lived her life through the years. Michelle was looking for someone who could fit into her lifestyle easily.
Unfortunately, Michelle’s match has been difficult from the very beginning of the season. When Michelle and David first met, they seemed like they could be a good fit, but things deteriorated quickly. Michelle found out that David still lives with his parents and found herself bereft at a level that felt like overkill in some ways. Throughout the season, Michelle has found new reasons to disrespect David in nearly every episode, and she hasn’t gotten past the fact that he doesn’t have his own independent home. Michelle’s inability to treat David with kindness or respect has been difficult to watch.
Ikechi Ojoré Was Still Cast After Obvious Attempts To Join The Show For Attention
After multiple rounds of trying out for Married At First Sight, Ikechi Ojoré finally found himself cast on MAFS season 18. Ikechi, a writer who speaks highly of himself without providing specifics about his career, has been in the running for two seasons of MAFS before being cast. While producers may have considered that Ikechi was looking to join the cast of the series to bring attention to himself as a reality TV star, they chose to cast him on the show this season. Ikechi was matched with Emem Obot, who seemed like she’d be a good match on paper.
While the couple appeared to get along early on in the Married At First Sight process, it quickly became clear that Ikechi and Emem weren’t on the same page about what they were looking for in a partner. Emem was looking for a supportive partner who could help her move through life while Ikechi was looking for someone he would be able to control. As a high-achiever and overall intelligent woman, Emem wasn’t open to having Ikechi make her decisions for her, which quickly took her out of Ikechi’s good graces. Ikechi’s villainous behavior toward Emem has shocked MAFS audiences.
Madison Myers Has Been Disingenuous About Her Relationship All Season
Throughout Married At First Sight season 18, one of the couples who hasn’t been clear on whether they’re actually going to move forward or shrink backward has been Madison Myeres and Allen Slovick. While Madison has been trying to put on a brave face in light of Allen not being who she was hoping to meet physically, she’s tried to get along with him without the physical connection they’ve both been hopeful for. Allen, for his part, has mostly been a kind-hearted gem who occasionally makes some rather large mistakes, like driving under the influence in a recent MAFS episode.
While Madison would have perfectly decent reasons not to be interested in Allen after his drunk driving incident, it’s been clear from early on that Madison didn’t like Allen. She made it difficult for Allen to move out from under her thumb, but Madison has also been clear that she’s not interested in Allen enough romantically to move forward. While Madison hasn’t been easy for Allen to care for, he’s been trying to make things work while she’s been dishonest about actually wanting to be matched with Allen. Madison’s covert villainy has made it clear she’s not interested in Allen.
MAFS Season 18’s Villains Have Proven The Experiment Isn’t Working To Create Real Matches
Although Married At First Sight’s experts often touts the ability to work through their matches with ease, it’s become clear through the last few years that they aren’t matching the right people together. The MAFS matches this season are a mixed bag, but the majority of the couples put together by the experts aren’t working and likely won’t change to make their relationships better. Michelle & David, Ikechi & Emem, and Madison & Allen have all shared some serious drama, but their behavior hasn’t proven poor while their matches have been difficult to watch. The villains in each relationship have changed their dynamics.
