Married At First Sight Season 18’s Emem Obot & Brandon Williams’ Reunion Appearance Proves Their Relationship Is Stranger Than Her Marriage To Ikechi Ojoré
Married At First Sight season 18’s Emem Obot may have spent the duration of the season married to Ikechi Ojoré, but after breaking things off and meeting Brandon Williams, it’s clear from their recent reunion appearance that her relationship with Brandon is stranger than her marriage to Ikechi ever was. Emem, who joined Married At First Sight season 18 hopeful that she’d find the love of her life, has been moving through the post-season with a different level of clarity. After meeting and marrying Ikechi, things took a nosedive for the couple who couldn’t find common ground in their marriage.
Ikechi, who was a major villain throughout Married At First Sight season 18, struggled to find things he liked about Emem despite her doing her best to work through the issues she saw in their relationship. While Ikechi wasn’t interested in their marriage, he wouldn’t fully let Emem go. After continually calling her aggressive and accusing her of being too sexually forward before walking his accusations back, Ikechi and Emem finally decided to part ways prior to the MAFS season 18 finale. After ending her marriage, Emem met Brandon and the pair connected quickly, shocking everyone with a new engagement.
[Brandon] was concerning for the viewers who got to know Emem all season to watch, as he didn’t seem stable.
Emem Appeared With Fiancé Brandon During The Reunion
Although Emem only introduced Brandon to the Married At First Sight season 18 cast during the final episodes of the season’s filming, it was clear she was happy with her decision to move quickly into a relationship with him. Bringing Brandon to the MAFS reunion, Emem answered all the burning questions about her relationship for the experts on her own, then brought out her new fiancé to allow him to chat and share his own perspective. While it’s abnormal for MAFS participants to bring people outside of the cast along to their appearances, Brandon was an exception to the rule.
Brandon’s Energy During The Reunion Was Concerning For Viewers
Unfortunately, Brandon’s appearance on the Married At First Sight season 18 reunion was strange to say the least. From the moment he stepped on stage, Brandon’s energy was off. He seemed almost manic at times, too high-energy to really hold a conversation or answer questions clearly, which was off-putting throughout his time on stage with Emem and the MAFS experts. While Brandon was able to speak to his relationship with Emem and explain his side of things, he was concerning for the viewers who got to know Emem all season to watch, as he didn’t seem stable.
Brandon’s bizarre request for Pastor Cal Roberson to marry him and Emem right there during the reunion may have been a joke, but it was clear that Emem didn’t like the idea of it at all. While Emem was trying to keep Brandon calm, it was clear that the experts struggled with his high-energy as well. Though he could’ve just been nervous about the sit down, Brandon came off like he was strange, pushing some away from supporting his relationship with Emem.
Emem & Brandon’s Relationship May Seem Strange, But It’s Strong
Although Emem and Brandon’s relationship has moved quickly, it’s already proven to be a strong one. Throughout Emem’s time on Married At First Sight season 18, her marriage to Ikechi was difficult. Emem and Ikechi didn’t see each other eye-to-eye, and while her relationship with him was odd, her connection to Brandon in its aftermath was stranger. Their overwhelming connection, however strange it may be, has made them into a strong couple quicker than expected. Even if Emem’s engagement to Brandon moved faster than her time on Married At First Sight, it appears to be the right choice for her.
