Married At First Sight Season 18: Were David Trimble & Madison Myers Paired Together By The Experts Originally? (The Rumors Explained)

Married At First Sight season 18’s David Trimble and Madison Myers were the surprise of the season, but the rumors surrounding their relationship were finally addressed during the MAFS reunion. While the Married At First Sight season 18 experts were open to talking about their mistakes in the process, they didn’t appear to be prepared for questions about their matchmaking coming from the participants during the reunion special. Still, David, who’d been matched with Married At First Sight season 18’s Michelle Tomblin, and Madison, who was originally matched with Allen Slovick, had a lot to answer for on their own.

David and Madison’s relationship has been one of the most hot-button topics of the Married At First Sight season, but their connection didn’t come easily. While the Married At First Sight season 18 cast members were open about the fact that they were interested in each other early on, the pair’s connection was slow-moving because of their respective marriages. While Madison and Allen were seemingly moving toward a solid relationship, David and Michelle’s complete mismatch took a toll on both of them throughout the season. David and Madison got to know each other slowly, their relationship becoming a complete scandal.

Madison brought up some of the rumors she’s heard about online surrounding the experts’ matchmaking, namely that they were put together as a potential match at first, then changed at the last minute.

As Married At First Sight season 18 has progressed, the relationship between David and Madison has become more prevalent. While the pair knew each other for a short time before finding a deeper connection, it was clear from early on in the season that something was off about their respective marriages. David and Michelle had a difficult time building any sort of connection, while Madison and Allen were struggling to meet each other’s needs despite having a foundation for a relationship. When David and Madison got to know each other, they discovered a connection that they couldn’t deny.

Coming clean about their connection late in the season, David and Madison vehemently denied the idea that they’d done anything physical during their marriages on MAFS. While the rest of the cast and the experts haven’t seemed to believe their claims, David and Madison shared that their relationship was strictly meeting emotional needs prior to their marriages ending. Even so, the pair had an emotional affair if nothing else throughout MAFS season 18, which has led to a ton of questions from the cast, experts, and audience.

Did The Experts Drop The Ball In Season 18 Matching?

Although it was possible that the experts could’ve matched David and Madison on Married At First Sight before coupling them up with Allen and Michelle, respectively, the experts shot the idea of that down immediately. While they made it clear that they wished they’d been able to foresee their connection, the Married At First Sight experts shared that the matchmaking they do isn’t an exact science. Though they had some misfires this season, it’s been clear that they’ve had a harder time in recent years to create successful matches. Still, the MAFS experts use their judgement to their best abilities.
