Married At First Sight Season 18 Isn’t Featuring The Experts Enough (They Need More Information To Help The Participants)

Married At First Sight season 18’s couples are already struggling through their very new marriages, but the season has barely featured the experts who are supposed to be helping the couples. Despite the Married At First Sight experts, comprised of Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Dr. Pia Holec, and Pastor Cal Roberson, having a poor public perception after seasons of failure, viewers have been curious as to where they’ve been throughout the current season. With the couples struggling early in their marriages, the experts haven’t been present to offer advice. Though they’re on the show to help, the experts have been absent.

Although Married At First Sight season 18 is only a few episodes into the season, there has been some substantial progress between the couples from the time they met at the altar through their honeymoons. While some couples are figuring out how to communicate with one another and find common ground, others are having a hard time building a bridge from strangers to spouses. The majority of the couples could use help in their interactions, and with the experts nowhere to be found, have been doing the heavy lifting of communicating in their relationship without any advice or information available.

MAFS Season 18 Has Seen Less Of The Experts Than Ever

Although Married At First Sight’s poor success rate has been something that’s pushed viewers away from the experts in recent seasons, it’s become clear that they need to be around the couples in order to help them succeed. Throughout the pre-season and during the MAFS season 18 matchmaking special, the experts were present and vocal about their decisions on who to match and why. Now, with the weddings over, the experts have disappeared.

Though some viewers aren’t necessarily interested in seeing more of the experts, having them around could be beneficial to guide the couples. With only two marriages having made it through the experiment and coming out the other side successfully in the last six seasons, viewers are looking for any fix when it comes to MAFS. Having the experts around more could be a way to help mitigate early issues.

MAFS Viewers Want To See The Experts Use Their Expertise

Although most viewers don’t want to see an entire episode of the experts and the couples walking through their issues, many are hopeful to see more of the experts on MAFS season 18. With some of the couples already struggling to communicate, the experts should be coming in and helping the couples work through the problems they’ve found early in their relationships to help mitigate them early. The experts are experts for a reason, and should be using their expertise to help the Married At First Sight season 18 cast through their issues.

Future Seasons Of MAFS Should Feature More Of The Experts

While MAFS season 18 still has a stretch of episodes to go, the show has already been filmed and edited, which makes feedback sometimes a bit unhelpful for the current iteration of the series. Many viewers are looking for the MAFS experts to get more involved in the future, if not during the current season. They’re hopeful that even if they don’t see the experts coming in more often on Married At First Sight season 18, they’ll see them tapping in more often to help in future seasons of the series.
