Married At First Sight Season 18: Camille Parsons Is Concerned About The Wrong Things With Thomas (She Hasn’t Learned From Her Past)
Married at First Sight season 18 cast member Camille Parsons has the wrong concerns in her marriage with Thomas, proving she hasn’t learned from her past failures. Camille and Thomas join four other Married at First Sight season 18 couples: Karla Juarez and Juan Franco, Emem Obot and Ikechi Ojoré, Madison Myers and Allen Slovick, and Michelle Tomblin and David Trimble. Currently, the couples have completed their honeymoons and moved into the living together portion of the experiment.
So far, Michelle and David have the most issues, as Michelle has contempt for David’s living situation and personality. Karla and Juan are the couple with the second most issues. Karla’s passive aggressiveness and overly whimsical outlook on life are not jiving well with Juan, who wants peace and prosperity in marriage. Camille is not able to get out of her own way when it comes to attraction towards her husband, and it’s been a bad reflection on her.
Camille & Thomas’ MAFS Journey
Lifetime’s Camille is a self-proclaimed workaholic who was missing the love life she wanted. The 32-year-old was paired with 42-year-old twin, Thomas, who felt he was “missing the parade go by.” Thomas was all in on the marriage come the wedding day, while Camille almost had cold feet when it came time to walk down the aisle. Despite her initial apprehensions, Camille and Thomas were initially attracted to one another and shared deep conversations where they agreed they related to one another a lot.
They had a good time on the honeymoon, but Camille told Thomas she was used to dating men who had a more urban style than him. Her revelation hurt Thomas’ feelings, as connecting with his African American side was hard for him for growing up being adopted and living in a more white community. Camille once again brought up that Thomas didn’t have the swag she was seeking when they met with the experts, and she’s been chastised by MAFS viewers for it.
Camille Is Concerned With Thomas Not Being Urban Enough
Camille’s traditionally dated a more urban kind of man, but it clearly hasn’t worked in her favor. On Reddit, Camille has been getting battered by MAFS fans for not only being hypocritical but also shortsighted. U/Golden_Lafayette made a thread about Camille’s feelings and how her comments have been perceived.
“She basically thinks that Thomas is a white man that is trapped inside of a black mans body. Let’s be real here, she wants a guy that she look at & think to herself ‘damn my man is cool & I can show him off’ & she doesn’t really see that with him as far as his appearance.”
In another Reddit thread by u/Kartopery, the thread topic noted, “Not Camille Talking About How Thomas Doesn’t Engage in Enough Black Activities Over Matcha Lattes and Açaà Bowls.”
Camille not valuing Thomas for who he is has been detrimental to Camille’s reception on the show, and it’s not boding well for the success of her marriage if she can’t get over Thomas not being her usual type.
Camille is not looking at Thomas’ full picture and what he has to offer, and is too hyper-focused on his appearance and lack of a “swag factor.” Camille needs to reevaluate her priorities instead of forcing Thomas to conform to being like her past partners. Married at First Sight season 18 still has a lot of episodes left, so Camille can win back viewers with a changed attitude.
