Emem’s judgement may not be the most sound when it comes to her engagement to Brandon.
Although Emem and Brandon still have a lot to learn about each other, fans are questioning if their relationship is genuine because Brandon’s two kids didn’t seem like a factor in their lives. Brandon, who has been going through difficulties in his life beyond his relationship with Emem, didn’t seem to prioritize his children, instead focusing his attention on his relationship. According to u/tcr317 on Reddit, “When getting divorced – especially after 10 years – ensuring your children are doing as well as can be expected is paramount.” Brandon, instead, appears to be focusing on his romance instead of his family.
If Brandon doesn’t have a great relationship with his kids, however, it’s possible that he didn’t bring them up at length because he doesn’t factor them into his decisions about his life with Emem. It appeared that Emem and Brandon were moving very quickly in their relationship, which is a red flag within itself outside of the confines of the MAFS structure.
