Married At First Sight Cast Members Who Gave Up Too Quickly (They Weren’t Ready For Marriage & Showed Their Red Flags)

While the Married at First Sight franchise has seen plenty of failed marriages, there are a few cast members who stand out as not having tried at all, and who walked away from the experiment too quickly. With this association, these cast members gave out huge red flags and proved that they weren’t ready for marriage. Married at First Sight season 18 is currently airing, and is already going better than most seasons. In season 17, there was a runaway bride situation that caused one cast member to be rematched, and not even that second attempt worked out.

Moreover, two other season 17 couples called it quits early. The premise of Married at First Sight is for the couples to stay married until Decision Day after spending eight weeks together. They are meant to iron out their differences, work towards understanding each other, and demonstrate personal growth in their marriages. However, some cast members choose to divorce before Decision Day, and there are three notable cast members who gave up way too early without giving the experience or their partners a chance.

Alyssa Ellman

Married At First Sight Season 14

Lifetime‘s Alyssa Ellman was on MAFS season 14 in Boston. She got married to Chris Collette at the altar, but quickly showed her disliking of her partner on their wedding day. She had a meltdown about Chris not being what she asked for physically, and she refused to spend the wedding night, or any other night, with him. She went on the honeymoon because she didn’t want to miss out, but ran away from every conversation he tried to have with her, stating that she was robbed of her experience.

When they arrived back in Boston, Alyssa still would not give Chris the slightest of chances, and they had the quickest divorce in MAFS history at just 12 days. Alyssa insisted that she was a “good person,” although it was clear she was going to run away if the person at the end of the aisle wasn’t exactly what she wanted.

Alyssa was selfish, and never took Chris’ feelings into consideration.

Dominyque Kloss

Married at First Sight Season 16

25-year-old Domynique Kloss, who categorized herself as “an old soul,” married 34-year-old MacKinley Gilbert in MAFS season 16 in Nashville. However, Domynique proved her immaturity on the honeymoon when she refused to understand Mac’s boundaries when it came to adventure. She wrote him off as boring and incompatible, and she called for a divorce as soon as the living together portion of the experience was beginning. Domynique showed a severe unwillingness to compromise and underscored that people in their mid-twenties are not good casting choices on the show, despite protests otherwise.

Orion Martzloff

Married at First Sight Season 17

Orion Martzloff married Lauren Goodger in Married at First Sight season 17 in Denver, and their marriage only lasted 13 days. While attraction was immediately there, as were positive talks about their lives and outlooks, things came crumbling down. Not only did Lauren make an insensitive racial remark about Orion’s Native American heritage, but she also turned him off when she relayed she had slept with someone not long before coming on the show.

Upon returning to Denver, Orion asked for a divorce because of their complete communication breakdown and his disdain for her.

Orion had every right to be offended by Lauren’s words and behavior, but he showed his unwillingness to work through things by not giving the marriage a longer chance. At the Married at First Sight season 17 reunion, Orion admitted to regretting not living with Lauren and seeing if his feelings could change.
