‘MAFS’ Fans Blame Experts For ‘Failed’ Chicago Season

Married at First Sight fans are fed up with Season 18 in Chicago. What was advertised as a redemption season has been the complete opposite in this return to The Windy City, and the way that viewers see it, the experts are to blame for this monumental fail. So, what are viewers saying?

Married At First Sight Fans Hoped Season 18 Would Be A Redemption Season

After the disaster that was Married at First Sight Season 17 in Denver, many viewers were hoping that a return to Chicago would yield some positive results in terms of successful matches. As fans remember, Ashley Petta and Anthony D’Amico were a successful pair from the first season in Chicago, and viewers were hopeful that these new matches would replicate that success.

As Married at First Sight fans have seen, however, Season 18 in Chicago has been anything but a success story. The way that a lot of viewers see it, the mission of the show has been lost. Most viewers agree that drama is taking priority over genuine, lasting matches, and the show is suffering as a whole because of it.

MAFS Cheating Scandal Rocked Season 18

Just when people thought that Michael Shiakallis getting left at the altar in Season 17 could not be topped, Season 18 in Chicago proved that The Windy City could up the ante with a cheating scandal that has rocked the entire season.

As Married at First Sight fans have seen, David Trimble and Madison Myers both admitting that they were into each other sent shockwaves throughout the entire cast, as both Allen Slovick and Michelle Tomblin got the short end of the stick as a result of this cheating scandal.

Married At First Sight Fans Say The Experts Are The Real Villains This Season

Typically, with every Married at First Sight season, there is at least one villain as part of the cast, one rotten apple that potentially spoils the bunch. While there are certainly those personalities this season, like Ikechi, David, and Madison, many fans agree that the real villains this season are the experts.

  • One commenter recently said: “These people are not relationship experts. For the entirety of season 18 the experts have repeatedly failed the participants for the sake of the show. From Emem and Ikechi to David and Michelle, they’ve given the participants advice for ratings and they’ve ignored their true feelings. You can’t fake chemistry and that’s what they seem to want the participants to do.”
  • Another person said: “They can be board certified, have master level degrees and still be bad at their jobs. If you’ve ever been to a therapist or medical doctor you know that they’re not all the same and everyone isn’t good at what they do.”
  • A third person chimed in, adding: “Use to love this show. Every season has slowly gotten worse and the “professionals” are now sadly just talking heads with very little actual good advice and counseling.”

Do you think that the experts are the real villains this season?
