MAFS Expert Trisha Stratford Dead At 72

Dr. Trisha Stratford offered her expert opinion on the popular reality dating show MAFS Australia since it first premiered back in 2015. And, she continued to offer her opinions and advice on the show until she walked away three years ago. In her five years on the show, Dr. Trisha Stratford accumulated a lot of fans. So, her death comes as a devastating blow to the Married At First Sight franchise.

According to The Sun, her co-worker and another OG expert, John Aiken, was the first to take to social media and confirm her passing to the world. In an emotional post, he shared the heartbreaking news.

I’m heartbroken and devastated that my friend and dear colleague Trisha has passed away,” he wrote alongside photos of himself with Trisha. We shared an amazing seven seasons of MAFS together. She loved everything New Zealand, relationships, the All Blacks, the Black Caps, French wine and travelling the world. I’ll miss you, Tish. Thank you for all the memories.”

John Aiken stood beside Dr. Stratford for seven seasons on the show. And, he was deeply gutted to learn of her passing.

John shared a collection of photos of himself with his colleague in his touching tribute on Instagram as he mourned her passing. Check out the beautiful tribute below:

The Network Also Issued A Statement

A spokesperson of the network that airs MAFS Australia issued a statement regarding her passing as well. The spokesperson noted as they affirmed everyone who worked with Dr. Trisha Stratford was deeply saddened by her passing: “Our sincerest condolences and heartfelt sympathies go out to her family and those closest during this difficult time.”

At this time, her cause of death has not been released. In fact, very little has been released about her death. The only reason fans of Married At First Sight learned of her death was because of tributes from those who had the pleasure of working with her.

John and the network were not alone in mourning her passing. Many poured into the comments with final words as they said goodbye to the MAFS expert:

  • “We are so sorry John, devastating.”
  • “Devastating… such a divine woman”
  • “Go well Trisha.”

Unfortunately, Dr. Trisha Stratford did not have an Instagram account. And, she hadn’t been active on Twitter since 2012. So, fans were not able to flock to her “final post” and pay tribute the way they typically would when someone in the spotlight passes away.

Rest in peace, Trisha Stratford.
