Julie Chrisley Demands Privacy After Traumatic Prison Experience! Absent From Another Event!

The Chrisley family has been in the headlines since the announcement of their pardon on May 27th. It’s been almost a week since Todd and Julie’s release from prison. Savannah, their daughter, and Todd have already attended multiple events, including one called “Hope for Prisoners,” where Julie was noticeably absent.

Julie also chose to skip the press conference. She has made the decision to stay out of the media, paparazzi, and social media spotlight, instead choosing to soak up everything she missed in the past two years.

How Julie Chrisley Feels About Ditching Her Blonde Hair After Prison

The Chrisleys are currently filming a reality TV show, but Julie was hesitant to get back on camera. According to her son Chase, prison was a big adjustment for Julie, as it was far more traumatizing for her.

Savannah shared on her podcast, “Julie was in a pod of 15 triple bunk beds at Grady County. There were toilets with no spacers, out in the open, side by side. There were cameras in the restrooms.”

Julie said the water tasted and smelled like lake water, so she had to microwave it before using it. Julie went to court in September to have her sentence reduced, which was originally seven years.

Despite efforts to challenge the decision, the court upheld her sentence. Julie broke down emotionally in court and made a heartfelt apology for her actions and the effect they had on her family. This, however, was only a small part of the emotional strain she endured, on top of having cancer.

Todd’s prison experience was not as horrific as Julie’s. While he endured difficulties, Todd described his time as being similar to a camp experience. He was in a group of about 300 men and even made friends.

In contrast, Julie struggled deeply. Todd, being outspoken and social, coped better. Julie, being quieter and more reserved, found the experience far more distressing. She has declined public appearances, except for the show they are currently filming.

Julie continues to suffer from emotional distress and finds it distasteful to present a happy face in the media, especially considering how wronged she feels. Savannah shared a letter from Julie on her podcast, tearfully vowing to keep fighting for her parents.

Many people see Todd’s joyfulness and humor and forget the toll this has taken on Julie. It’s almost like she’s the forgotten one. More of her pain and suffering will be revealed on the show.

There are still those who believe Todd and Julie shouldn’t have been pardoned. What do you think?
