Gypsy Rose Reveals Why She Is In Couple’s Therapy With Ken Urker!
Gypsy Rose has had a tough childhood. That’s because she went to prison when she was 19 for being an accomplice for her mother Dee Dee Blanchard’s murder. Her boyfriend at the time, Nick Godejohn, did so to protect her from all the abuse. Well, she was to serve a decade-long prison sentence, but she has been out on parole after seven years.
Navigating the real world was tough for Gypsy Rose. She was earlier married to Ryan Anderson but they got a divorce a little over a year later since her release. That’s because she realized she was still in love with her ex-fiance, Ken Urker. After they reconciled, they built a wonderful world for themselves. They have been doing this while also attending couple’s therapy.
Gypsy Rose & Ken Urker Recently Welcomed Their First Baby

Within a few months of their reconciliation, the couple also announced their pregnancy. Gypsy did say it was hard for her to navigate this path because of all the trolling and hate.
However, Gypsy continued to lead with grace and kindness. The star finally welcomed her and Ken’s baby in December 2024. They named her Aurora. Gypsy Rose Details Why She Has Been In Couple’s Therapy With Ken Urker!
When Gypsy was in prison, she became pen pals with Ken Urker. They would write to eachother back and forth until they felt feelings developing. In fact, the couple even had their first kiss when the latter came to meet her in prison. Later, in 2018, they decided to tie the knot with one another and sealed the deal with their engagement. Despite this, they split in the same year.
Gypsy Rose then found love in Ryan Anderson, but once she was out, it didn’t take her long to realize Ken was still the one she wanted. Hence, she got a divorce. While talking about her relationship with Ken on Life After Lockup, she opened up about a few things. One of them was how they were taking couples counseling. Well, she explained the reason why.
It turns out Gypsy loves how counseling provides an “unbiased opinion” about issues. She didn’t like going to family and friends for the “bad stuff” and worried it would change their opinion about their partners. The reality TV star also said that it felt like she was with a different person because meeting your lover after many years leads to them changing a lot.
Gypsy said it was like “learning eachother” as they were in their 20s when they first met. So, having unbiased opinions as to how they should be improving their relationship as gone a long way for the couple.
