In response, ten neighbors filed a damage claim, stating that their properties have collectively lost €800,000 in value due to the farm’s impact.
Legal Battles
“The neighbors initially won in court,” Story reveals, “but the compensation granted was nowhere near the amount they sought.” Instead of the claimed €800,000, they received a total of €53,000 in damages.
The conflict doesn’t end there. John has applied for a permit to expand his turkey coops, sparking further objections from the neighborhood. This time, however, the court sided with John, rejecting the neighbors’ complaints.
