BETRAYED and BROKEN: Amy’s Wedding Drama EXPLODES! 😱 | 1000lb Sisters S7E5

Really scared me out of my wits when we were in the middle of it, and he whips out this damn ring, drops down to one knee, and asks Amy to marry him. Yes, by the way—ain’t that some goddamn surprise? I would have made a very smart-ass comment. I probably would have said, “Hey, this is close enough to the wedding.” Isn’t it crazy, though, how you can find a partner and feel like this person is someone you truly have feelings for?

You feel like you’re in love, like this is the right person to step in as a stepparent to your kids. Maybe they’ve treated you the best anyone ever has. But then you realize you’ve only been together for about two months and a bit. Of course, this is the honeymoon phase, where everything is just roses—or, I guess, dungeons and zombies, if you know what I mean.

Last week, Amy’s new man decided to propose to her in a haunted house, surrounded by a bunch of zombies, axes, and mayhem. There was all sorts of chaos going on. It was literally one of the most unorthodox proposals of all time. But the fact is, Amy believes she’s in a good place, and she’s ready to take things to the next level—marriage and moving in together after just two months.

Of course, the family isn’t exactly supportive. To be fair, you could argue they have valid reasons. They know Amy has a tendency to rush her decisions in life, and they just want her to be cautious. No matter how much they try to help or protect her, she always wants to do her own thing.

So, am I surprised by the family’s reaction? Absolutely not. But should they at least be a bit more welcoming, supportive, or just go along with it because it’s their sister? Well, that’s subjective. Sometimes people we love need tough love instead of a soft touch. Most of the family, apart from Amanda, are leaning toward tough love, which I can respect. Amanda, on the other hand, believes they should just let Amy do her thing.

None of the family members are necessarily wrong in their reactions. It’s just a shame because Amy now feels cornered and isolated.
