Married At First Sight’s Karla Juarez Reveals Why She Thinks Juan Franco’s Making “Calculated” Attacks On Her Character
Karla explained that she’s been struggling with how to handle the issues coming from her ex, who’s been calling her out for poor behavior.
In a recent interview with the Positively Uncensored Podcast, Karla opened up about her experience on MAFS with Juan, and shared what’s been happening in their increasingly hostile online feud in the show’s aftermath. Explaining that she feels the best way to describe Juan is “calculated,” Karla explained that she’s been struggling with how to handle the issues coming from her ex, who’s been calling her out for poor behavior. Karla shared that she’d blocked Juan after watching MAFS and seeing the way he talked about her, as it felt very different than his behavior in person.
Karla explained that she feels Juan “[knew] that it would serve him…and deflect from what he was actually doing and saying to make me look like the problem,” in their relationship. She revealed that though Juan says he has some sort of “integrity destroying” dirt on her, Karla doesn’t know what he’s talking about, sharing that she’d love for him to step up and share what he knows so they can move on with their lives. “I feel like he’s saying a lot with no proof,” Karla shared, revealing she’d be happy to provide her own receipts of their texts and other conversations.
As Karla has learned more about how Juan saw her, she’s become less interested in maintaining a relationship with him outside the show. Juan, who appears to be baffled by the idea that his words could’ve hurt his MAFS bride, has been attacking her character online and accusing her of creating burner accounts to go after him. Though Karla has been struggling with Juan’s behavior, she has revealed that she doesn’t think it’s entirely out of character. Seeing Juan as more calculated after Married At First Sight, Karla’s assessment of her MAFS husband is interesting, offering a new perspective.

Throughout Married At First Sight season 18, some found Karla to be difficult to watch while others found her refreshing. As the season continued on, it became clear that Karla was who she was, whether people liked her or not, and most came around to respect her kooky sense of honesty. Karla dishing on Juan was fascinating, and sharing that after seeing the whole picture, she feels he’s a calculated person who has a lot to hide.
