Married At First Sight Season 18’s Cast Lied To The Experts (They’re Setting The MAFS Experts Up To Fail)
Married At First Sight season 18 is just getting started, but the cast has already lied to the MAFS experts about their willingness to open up to new experiences, setting the expert panel up to fail. While Married At First Sight season 18 has just gotten started, the cast members were introduced weeks before the season began. As viewers had the opportunity to get to know the cast members and understand where they were coming from in their MAFS experiences, many felt that they’d gotten the ability to see more about the cast than they have in previous MAFS seasons.
With some added knowledge about the MAFS season 18 participants, including what their backgrounds were like and what they were hoping to get out of the show, it was disappointing within the first episodes to see some cast members walking back their open attitudes. Despite knowing that the Married At First Sight experts, comprised of Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Dr. Pia Holec, and Pastor Cal Roberson, can only use the information they’re given to match people up, the cast has been having a hard time. While this is typical for MAFS cast members, this cast is finding it tougher than usual.
While the participants are always hopeful that they’ll instantly connect with their partners on the show, it’s rarely what happens.
Many Of MAFS Season 18’s Participants Aren’t Happy With Their Matches
Although Married At First Sight season 18 is just getting started, it’s clear that several of the MAFS couples aren’t interested in their matches after their weddings. Primarily, this attitude appears to be coming from Michelle Tomblin, who’s having a hard time with her MAFS husband David Trimble’s living situation. Michelle, a fiercely independent woman who’s worked her way up in her career, isn’t happy that David seems to have a lower level of ambition and lives with his parents.
Although Michelle and David seem to have the worst case of remorse in the cast, there are other MAFS season 18 cast members who don’t seem pleased with their matches. Both Camille Parsons and Karla Jarez have seemed to struggle in connecting with their matches post-wedding, while Madison Myers has been contradicting herself consistently throughout the MAFS process. Though it may be some nerves pushing the MAFS brides to be remorseful, their dissatisfaction is difficult to watch.
The MAFS Experts Can Only Match The Participants With The Information They’re Given
Although the participants may be struggling to find themselves suddenly married to a stranger, the MAFS experts worked hard to match them with people they can align with and connect to. While the participants are always hopeful that they’ll instantly connect with their partners on the show, it’s rarely what happens, and further, it can’t happen if they’re not honest about themselves with the experts. The snap judgments and remorse from the participants come from dissatisfaction surrounding things they haven’t shared with the experts up front. The show’s experts can only use the information they’re given to make MAFS matches.
MAFS Participants Need To Be Open To Trying Something New
For Married At First Sight or any reality TV dating show to work, the participants involved need to be open to trying something new. Many MAFS participants join the series because they feel that the day-to-day style of dating they’ve been trying isn’t working out in finding them a long-term partner. This means they have to be open to trying something different, and potentially winding up with someone they wouldn’t have expected. The MAFS season 18 cast members need to open themselves up to connect with their partners, or the experiment will never work for them in the long run.
