90 Day Fiancé’s Tigerlily Taylor Reveals Why Adnan Can’t Travel To The U.S. Amid Major Relationship Red Flags

90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Tigerlily Taylor is opening up about the painful reason why Adnan Abdelfattah couldn’t meet her in the U.S. before their Jordan wedding. Tigerlily and Adnan are an Instagram couple who first started talking when she DM’d him. Tigerlily was in a controlling marriage before Adnan, but meeting him gave her hope. She agreed to marry him within four months of knowing him and flew to Amman in season 7. Tigerlily was convinced by Adnan that they had been husband and wife to spend time together in his country.

However, fans have been confused about why Adnan couldn’t visit Tigerlily in the U.S. instead if his country had such strict rules for couples to follow.

Tigerlily has developed a nice habit of chatting with fans on Instagram after every episode of the show airs. She answers their questions including ones that tend to get a little top personal. Someone wanted to know, “Why can’t he go to the USA?” Tigerlily replied that as a Jordanian, Adnan needs a visa to come to the U.S. “Tourist visas are really hard to get,” she wrote before adding that most of these visas get denied. As per Tigerlily, it takes more than a year for a person to even get an appointment at the embassy for a tourist visa.

Tigerlily explained in such a way that it looked like she had given Adnan’s U.S. visa a thorough thought before she decided to fly to Jordan. She wrote about how frustrating it is for someone when their visa gets denied after waiting for over a year just for an interview. Adnan was able to make it to the U.S. on a spousal visa since they got married in September 2023. Tigerlily said that spousal visas vary on how long the waiting period is as well.

What Adnan’s Visa Situation Means For Relationship With Tigerlily

Tigerlily and Adnan’s relationship has been criticized for the hypocrisy he’s shown. Adnan is a Muslim who wishes Tigerlily to adapt to his religious beliefs, which are a culture shock to the American woman. He doesn’t want Tigerlily to have male friends or be in close proximity to any men, but the same rules didn’t apply to Adnan when it came to women. Tigerlily has to dress in a certain way where her body isn’t desirable to any other man because she can only wear revealing clothes in Adnan’s presence. However, Adnan can get away with wearing his shirt unbuttoned.

However, Tigerlily was not aware of these rules before marrying Adnan. It could have been because Adnan himself didn’t inform her about them. Once Adnan realized that he couldn’t come to the U.S. for visa issues, he was able to get Tigerlily to Jordan and rush her into marriage. Blindly in love with the 22-year-old, Tigerlily did everything that was said. Even though she called out Adnan’s double standards, she couldn’t stay mad at him for a long time. Would it really have been that difficult for Adnan to come to get a tourist visa for the U.S.?

It seems Adnan may have put words into Tigerlily’s mouth. The couple could have easily waited a year and had a long-distance relationship before marrying. Since both Tigerlily and Adnan don’t seem to have money problems and are well-traveled, they could have met halfway in any country, instead of her marrying him in four months of knowing him. Adnan seems to have taken just a few months to settle in America on his spousal visa. It will be interesting to see how long this 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days marriage lasts.
