Married At First Sight season 18’s Decision Day, even with a bit of success for certain participants the experts alike, was a major disaster, signaling that it’s time for change. Throughout Married At First Sight season 18, viewers have had their sights set on Decision Day. Watching the couples of the season walk through their marriages with difficulty, some even choosing to leave their relationships early like Ikechi Ojoré and Emem Obot, has made it clear that the matchmaking done for the season wasn’t up to par. Unfortunately, this fumble wasn’t surprising considering the last few seasons of the show.

MAFS Season 18’s Decision Day Aired Out All The Couples’ Problems

Throughout MAFS season 18, viewers were concerned about what the couples were going to do on Decision Day. While they were all clear that they’d make their final decisions on the day, some couples were more obvious about what they were going to do than others prior to the big day. While Emem and Ikechi’s marriage crumbled early in the season, the rest of the couples were still struggling for clarity throughout the final weeks of the experiment.

While David & Michelle’s marriage had a suspected outcome with the pair choosing to split, David’s disrespectful nature throughout the final meeting with the experts was tough to watch. In a similar fashion, Madison & Allen’s marriage was obviously coming to an end, but it was a struggle to see Allen so hurt by Madison’s deception. Karla & Juan’s marriage could go either way, but after some positive time together, it was a little surprising to see the pair choose not to stay together. The couples who chose divorce, even though it was the right choice, were harder to watch.

Although there were primarily darker moments throughout the Married At First Sight season 18 Decision Day meetings, Camille and Thomas’ time with the experts yielded a more positive result. While the couple have had some difficult times throughout the season, seeing them choosing to stay together was a high point for MAFS viewers. Though their relationship wasn’t the easiest, it was clear that the pair enjoyed each other’s company and wanted to work on their relationship rather than simply casting it away. Camille and Thomas appear to have found genuine love during Married At First Sight season 18.

Although MAFS season 18 can share that one of their couples chose to stay together during Decision Day and still appears to be happily together, the disaster of Decision Day shouldn’t be underscored by a minor success. The fact that nearly all of the couples crumbled leading up to Decision Day and chose to get divorced was tough in itself, but the fact that two participants were cheating at all leading up to Decision Day made it even tougher to watch unfold. Married At First Sight season 18’s Decision Day was tough when certain cast didn’t respect the show’s premise.
