90 Day Fiancé’s Jasmine Pineda’s Ethnicity Revealed Amid Questions About Her Past After Welcoming Baby Girl With Matt Branis After Cryptic Divorce Update

90 Day Fiancé star Jasmine Pineda’s ethnicity is being questioned following the birth of her baby daughter Matilda with Matt Branis. Jasmine is from Panama, where she was born and raised. Jasmine worked as a teacher back home when she met Gino Palazzolo on a dating website for sugar daddies to find sugar babies. Jasmine and Gino had a long-distance relationship, which worked before they met in person, and Gino had to encounter Jasmine’s temper. Meanwhile, Jasmine didn’t appreciate Gino’s lack of interest in being intimate with her. Jasmine came to the U.S. to marry Gino in Spring 2023.

Jasmine and Gino’s marriage fell apart after she met Matt at a gym, and she now has a baby with him. However, Jasmine’s birthing photos were highlighted for a Black Maternal Health Week event, which confused her followers.

MerryPants posted about Jasmine’s photographer sharing that Jasmine’s photos were being highlighted at the Museum of Motherhood and shared a screenshot of an old Instagram post by Jasmine where she explained that she was “Afro Panamanian.” In the post, Jasmine spoke about “Panama’s Unique African Heritage and how two major migratory movements of Black people had occurred in her country. The first was the “Afro colonial” and the second was when Antilleans were brought to Panama during the construction of the Panama Canal and trans-isthmian railroad. Jasmine revealed that this was when her dad’s family arrived in Panama.

Jasmine’s baby arrival announcement did not mention the date on which her daughter was born. Her photographer accidentally did it while sharing photos of Jasmine during labor and revealed that it took place some three weeks ago, in mid-March 2025. The photographer had also announced that Jasmine was going to be part of the gallery which was going to be exhibited over the weekend at the Museum of Motherhood for Black Maternal Health Week. Black Maternal Health aims to raise awareness of maternal health inequities and empower Black mothers and families, focusing on community building and advocacy for improved outcomes.

Jasmine shared details of the exhibition on her own Instagram profile with comments from fans asking about Jasmine’s ethnicity to have qualified as a participant in the exhibition. Jasmine did not respond to the curious fans, but she had already spoken about having Black ancestry on social media earlier. Jasmine has already been dealing with criticism about her baby daddy not being the man she is married to. She may have decided not to engage with negative comments on her page at all.

The last thing Jasmine might have wanted to deal with were questions about her background while she was tackling comments and conversations about her pregnancy. It makes sense for Jasmine to have kept her pregnancy a secret for almost all the nine months. However, eventually, Jasmine would have had to reveal that she’s a new mom thanks to her being the face of a major reality TV show like 90 Day Fiancé. Jasmine has even mentioned that she had to disable her IG DMs to avoid getting rude messages from fans. Perhaps she’ll disable her comments section next.
