David from Nebraska met the Filipina woman in a group for hearing-impaired individuals. After dating single mom Sheila for two years, David flew to the Philippines to meet her in person. David had suspicions that Sheila was using him for money when she asked him for help to repair her house. However, David saw Sheila’s dilapidated house and was shocked by the tragic situation Sheila lived in.
