’90 Day Fiancé’ Rayne Fernandez Hits Rock Bottom: From Glamour to Financial Ruin
Rayne Fernandez, a cast member of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 7, is experiencing a scenario that many other unfortunate cast members have faced before her. The 90-Day Fiancé franchise may guarantee exposure and fame but doesn’t promise wealth. In fact, most cast members who join the show end up more financially strained than when they started.
TLC, the network behind the show, is known for paying its reality TV stars relatively low wages, especially for those joining the franchise for the first time. Additionally, the network does not cover travel expenses or provide health insurance in case of injury or accidents during filming. Despite these drawbacks, hundreds of couples apply every year, hoping to get their 15 minutes of fame. Only the savviest individuals manage to leverage that exposure to make money outside the show.
Rayne is one of the many unlucky American cast members who lost a significant amount of money flying to a foreign country to meet her lover. Unfortunately, her relationship failed miserably, and she faced public humiliation on TV, watched by millions of 90 Day Fiancé fans. In a recent Threads post, Rayne pleaded with the show’s fans to be nice to her. She explained that she invested everything she had into her trip to Nigeria to meet Chidi, only for it to result in disappointment. According to Rayne, Chidi wasn’t even romantically interested in her and used her for fame and money. She also alleged that Chidi lied about being a devoted Christian.
While Rayne will receive payment for the few episodes she appeared on, she won’t be compensated for the highly lucrative Tell All episodes. This is because she broke her non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with TLC, leading to her being uninvited from the Before The 90 Days season 7 Tell All.
