90 Day Fiancé: David Dangerfield & Sheila Mangubat’s Huge Visa Setback Will Make Their Relationship Stronger (They Aren’t Giving Up On Love)
David Dangerfield from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise has revealed that Sheila Mangubat’s K-1 visa has been denied, but the couple remains determined to reunite. They were last seen in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 6, where David traveled from the United States to the Philippines to meet Sheila in person for the first time. Despite initial communication issues, their love prevailed, and they got engaged. Fortunately, David also formed a bond with Sheila’s 12-year-old son, Jhonreil, who agreed to move to the United States with his mother.
During the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 6 Tell All, David and Sheila discussed their plans for marriage, revealing that they had applied for a K-1 visa. The couple contemplated getting married in the Philippines, but they found out the spousal visa would take longer to be approved than the K-1 visa, which can take up to two years. Despite their disappointment with the visa waiting time, David and Sheila appeared to be more in love than ever. While Sheila’s K-1 visa was being processed, David visited her in the Philippines to strengthen their bond.
David & Sheila Are Applying For A Visa Again After Getting Denied
However, in November 2024, David shared more heartbreaking news after the recent passing of his mother. He took to Instagram to share a video with fans, revealing that Sheila’s K-1 visa had been denied and discussing the next steps.
He expressed disappointment in himself, stating, “I am so sorry I was find out that visa is delay this day I will do again apply for visa and wait 2 years again too.” David acknowledged that applying for another visa would cost “lots money,” but he was determined not to give up because he loves Sheila so much.
David More Determined Than Ever After A Tragic Loss
David is devastated after Sheila’s K-1 visa was refused. However, this setback only made his feelings for his fiancée stronger.
After losing his mother, David is determined to keep his loved ones close and not give up on them. He recalls how his mother was excited when he promised her he would marry Sheila. David is committed to fulfilling that promise and will not rest until he is reunited with Sheila in the United States. He is already discussing with his lawyer to understand the reasons for the visa denial and reapply.
When Will David & Sheila Reunite Again?
After David applies for Sheila’s new K-1 visa, approval may take 10 to 16 months.
If the 90 Day Fiancé franchise alum submits the application in December 2024, they could potentially reunite by late 2025 or early 2026. However, the reason why Sheila’s original visa was denied is unclear. Sheila and David could face further delays if the denial were due to a significant issue such as income requirements or lack of evidence of a genuine relationship. Hopefully, the couple can resolve the visa problems quickly and get to document their story in 90 Day Fiancé season 11.
David Receives Support From 90 Day Fiancé Co-Stars Amid Visa Denial
David appears to be very disheartened upon realizing that he will have to wait another two years to marry Sheila in the United States. He broke down into tears in the video, calling himself a failure. However, the silver lining is that he has been receiving massive support from fans and 90 Day Fiancé franchise cast members. Liz Woods from 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? told David she was rooting for him and said, “don’t give up you guys got this.”
David Toborowsky commented, “just know Annie and I praying for you a Sheila.”
Other cast members, including Kimberly Menzies and Tyray Mollett, comforted David and encouraged him to stay strong. The support from cast members didn’t end there. A popular couple from 90 Day Fiancé season 7, Anna Campisi and Mursel Mistanoglu, recently spent Thanksgiving with David to lift his spirits.
David posted a picture with the couple and a heartfelt message, saying, “thank you I come visit friends and eat thanksgiving food.” In the comments, Anna expressed her gratitude for David’s visit. While struggling with visa issues, it is heartwarming to see David receiving support from fellow 90 Day Fiancé cast members.
